What We Do

Concept Lighting Design

  • Briefing meeting with the Client and other members of the Design Team.
  • Design Workshop with all relevant members of the Design Team.
  • Preparation of presentation materials as determined by the Lighting Designer to covey the overall design intent.
  • Conceptual lighting design studies
  • Preparation of preliminary lighting cost estimates.
  • Presentation of the Lighting concept to the client.

Schematic Lighting Design

  • Design workshops with the Design Team.
  • Further development of the lighting design.
  • Detailed lighting cost estimates.
  • Preliminary layout of the lighting design.
  • Preliminary lighting equipment schedule.
  • Preliminary  lighting sketch details where applicable.
  • Preliminary lighting control schedule.
  • Assisting in producing documentation for authority submissions.

Detail Lighting Design

  • Design workshop with the Design Team.
  • Design documentation drawing and Equipment schedules.
  • Detailed luminaire specification containing the fittings, accessories and ordering information.
  • Final lighting control schedules.
  • Final lighting control system specification.
  • Final detailed lighting equipment cost schedules.
  • Lighting sketch details of special lighting treatments.
  • Revision of the final construction drawings, specifications and details of the lighting scheme.
  • Coordination with electrical consultants for lighting controls and circuiting.

Tender

  • Drawings and equipment schedules for submission to contractors.
  • Attend and evaluate the submitted bids including technical reports and other tender reports.
  • Review alternative light fittings on behalf of the client if necessary.

Construction

  • Review of lighting equipment samples
  • Site meetings with the Design and Construction Team
  • Preparation of lighting trials
  • Respond to queries to facilitate timely completion

Focusing & Programming

  • On-site supervision of the installed lighting scheme 
  • Assistance with the of the installed control equipment 
  • Assistance to the Design Team, Contractor and other Parties in preparing schedules of defects related to items specified by the Lighting Designer
  • Defects Liability Period
